Changing Your CG

Greetings contractors, We’ve gotten a number of requests for information on how to change your Contracting Group. The following article should answer all your inquiries. If you find yourself still having questions after reading the article, please contact our community admin at: RaissaD@spitelarp.com. The quickest, easiest, and least costly way to change CGs is to make a new character. If you go this route, we ask you make an entirely new character and not “Old Character v. 2.0”. If you’d like to transfer an existing character to a new CG, that is a bit trickier and is handled on a case by case basis. Certain CGs may be harder to leave/join than others. Here are a few guidelines to help you prepare for the process: You will need an IG reason to switch, developed from role-play and happenings at events. You cannot simply change CGs via downtime or between events. You will need to work it out IG, at an event. This will most likely involve: Getting the permission of your current CG head. Getting the permission of the new CG head and most likely, the existing members of the CG. If you play a character that has crossed a particular CG, odds are they won’t want you. Making some kind of deal to transfer your contract, which will have some IG cost associated with it. This cost could be tasks, gear, credits, blackmail, etc. Contracts aren’t cheap and your new CG is essentially buying your contract out.   FAQs Can’t I just wait until my contract expires to move to a new group? Yes, but contract duration are 5 years from your first game and you will still need to acquire permission from your new CG through IG interaction. Can I have a shorter contract? Changing SICs

Changing SIC’s? Is your human character looking to “upgrade”? Here is what you need to know to changing your Species Identity Classification or SIC. First, you can only be one SIC, and you can only change from Human to either Psychic, Cyborg, or Exim; once there you cannot go back to human nor can you become another SIC (in game, the body and mind cannot take the intense trauma of more than once change). Androids can never change their SIC (no Blue Fairies in SPITE). Next, changing SIC can only be done between games, while you can express your desire to become something new, and perhaps to seek out the in game resources to do so, the actual change will happen when you email Logistics (logistics@spitelarp.com) and they make the change in the Character Manager. Finally, hoping for some more drama in regards to your transformation? This is where downtime actions come in. Work, work, work…

Work, work, work… Greetings Contractors, The staff here at Spite is hard at work on many great projects. I wanted to give a teaser for some of the work that is being done behind the carapace curtain. Your plot team is feverishly writing your demise… Umm… I mean, plot for the next game. We have a lot of great ideas for year two and beyond. The new team is working well together and I am more excited than ever to show you all what we’ve got for you. Our technomancers are coding their butts off to enhance and improve the online system. Working out any bugs and working on new features for future games. Our crazy prop geniuses are working on new and interesting visuals for the game. I’ve done a minor overhaul of the website, adding images to help add a little flavor to the online experience. Our new Community Admin has been working hard answering questions and being an epic point of contact for our players. If you don’t know about Raissa, yet, check out this article. The Spite crew has been on the road, promoting the game at Radcon and we are aiming to promote at other local events, soon. Accepted Blasters at Spite

Greetings Contractors, Your friendly neighborhood Game Runner here to talk about approved Blasters at Spite. What’s allowed: Stock NERF, Buzzbee, and Boomco dart and disk blasters. NERF Mega system darts are currently approved for use. Foam missile or “arrow” launchers will be approved on a case by case basis. What’s not allowed: Blaster with any modifications that changes the stock firing system. Boffer bows are not allowed. This includes the NERF Rebelle bow and other similar items. At this time, the NERF Rival series and similar high velocity ball shooters are not approved. Airsoft weapons (duh) How can I modify the blasters: We welcome cosmetic modification on weapons but ask you do not change any of the stock firing components to increase performance.
