How to get more XP for game 1

Some folks were asking for a breakdown on how to get more starting XP for game one. Ask and you shall receive:

5 XP for starting your character

1 XP if you go to one of the play tests and send in written feedback to plot@spitelarp.com. Alternatively, if you can't make it due to being out of state, we are offering the following: if you are involved in an out-of-state carpool of 3+ people or show a plane ticket you purchased to attend Spite, you will get the point.

1 XP for donating an additional $10 with your prepay. See this post: http://spitelarp.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=61

1 XP by spending hive points (more on this soon). Hive points are given for donating goods and services to the organization. If you edited the book, did art for us, bought something we really needed, you'll be receiving hive points. If you go to multiple playtests, you will get hive points on top of the XP.

So to clarify you can have up to 8 XP for your starting character.

If you get extra XP, can you spend it on your starting character, or do you make a 5XP character, and have to spend the extra during the game?

You can gain up to 8 XP for your starting character, to play at game 1.

Are Hive points/Xp transferable? Some of us have extra time to commit, but don't want to be too far ahead of the other folks we bring to game who *don't* have the extra time (students and the like).

That should be fine. Just don't lock your character in until you get to site. With the handy dandy character manager, you can make your character quickly on your phone if need be.

Snapshotting your character just spends XP. You can spend XP on your character after they've been snapshotted.
