Lockpicks

I'd also like a feeling for what locks they are - practice makes perfect. =)

Also, what locks are you using so I can get a couple... or are you providing the locks?

The far right set are actually dental tools.
You're going to want a tensioner, and a few picks.
Most of the locks mentioned for Spite are simple ones, easily raked.

Do yourself a favor and google basic lockpicking tutorials.

Here's a decent site for an idea what to look for and purchase options:

Good link!

This kit plus these covers every standard key lock I've encountered at larps (almost no one uses cylinder locks). And realistically, 80% of the small locks I've encountered only require a half-diamond rake and a tension bar, if that (my first kits were made from paper clips).

John, THANK YOU!

I did not want to spend a lot of money and if all I need is the rake and tension bar, then those two are less than $5. I'll get those. Smile

Continuing on something mentioned earlier in the thread...

What locks are used?  Looks like we have a lot of locks here at the new site and we were considering purchasing several to have on hand for props for the event.  Would you be able to point us in the direction of the locks?

Thanks

Cassie
