Can Shields Block Ranged?

Under the newest rules,
Rank 1: May use a shield with an area of up to 6 square feet against melee and claw attacks.

No mention of Firearms or Thrown at all.

That was a typo. You can block ranged and melee (firearms, thrown weapons, claws, and melee weapons). Will fix it in the patch.
