Does this ability extend to the rest of your squad? It doesn't necessarily seem like an excellent benefit otherwise - I suppose it allows for coordination amongst groups outside of standard radio, but that's not much.

I doubt Battle Tac would extend to the squad.

It does still have some purposes though as is.

• Could be used for a central command of your Contracting Group.
  
• Maybe alterations to your missions can be updated via Battle Tac.
  
• Text over Battle Tac is another layer of communication that Comm 1 doesn't get
  
• Being really freaking cool
